To “let go” does not mean to stop caring; it means I can’t do it for someone else.

To “let go” is not to cut myself off, It is the realization I can’t control another.

To “let go” is not to enable, but to allow learning from natural consequences.

To “let go” is to admit powerless, which means the outcome is not in my hands.

To “let go” is not to try to change or to blame another,

It is to make the most of myself.

To “let go” not to care for, but to care about.

To “let go” is not to fix, but to be supportive.

To “let go” is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being.

To “let go” is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes,

but to allow others to affect their own destinies.

To “let go” is not to be protective; it is to permit another to face reality.

To “let go” is not to deny, but to accept. To “let go” is not to nag, scold or argue,

but instead to search out my own shortcomings and to correct them.

To “let go” is not to adjust everything to my desires but to take

each day as it comes, and to cherish myself in it.

To “let go” is not to criticize and regulate anybody,

but try to become what I dream I can be.

To “let go” is not to regret the past, but to grow and live for the future.

TO ” LET GO” IS TO FEAR LESS AND TO LOVE MORE.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It’s our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves; who am I to be brilliant, to be gorgeous, talented and fabulous?

You are like a child of the Universe. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that others people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are born to make manifest the glory within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.

And as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Somewhere in myself I can feel love that is not dependant on others. I can allow myself to open the door and feel love, as I want. The more I feel love the more I radiate love. The more I receive love back the more I feel love.

Through this I allow myself to love myself.

Because I radiate love, I fill my house with love. Everything that blocks that energy, I remove and purify. Through this I feel at home and allow myself to love myself.

I am aware of my qualities, pitfalls and impossibilities. I only do what I believe in and nothing under the influence of others. Otherwise I block my love energy. I take care of myself, so I develop myself, I support myself.

Through this I allow myself to love myself.

I listen to my body and where I feel tension I fill this place with love. I let go of everything that blocks my love energy. I take good care of myself, dress myself in clothes I feel good and pretty in.

I eat healthy so I stay healthy, through this I allow myself to love myself.

I only draw people towards myself who are a mirror of myself. I am open to learn who I am, and I’m aware that everything happens for development through trail. Ultimately everything bends to love, what is love, stays love.

Through this I allow myself to love myself.

Every emotion other than love is a signal to undertake steps. So this energy can flow freely again. I’m aware that my love allows others to feel love. So this can work like a chain all over the world.

I am part of the Universe… I love myself.

This month’s recipe is from Vegetarian times: Citrus Collards with Raisins. I was looking for an improved way to eat my greens and have them be soft, delectable and still have nutritional value. This was a big win.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 lb. collard greens, tough stems trimmed

1 Tbs. olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced (2 tsp.)

2/3 cup raisins

1/2 tsp. salt

1/3 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

(Makes 6 servings)

Directions

1. Stack several collard leaves atop one another, and roll into tight cylinder. Slice crosswise into strips.

2. Cook greens in large pot of boiling, salted water 8 to 10 minutes, or until softened. Drain, and plunge into large bowl of cold water to stop cooking.

3. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, and sauté 1 minute. Add drained collards, raisins, and salt, and sauté 3 minutes. Stir in orange juice, and cook 15 seconds more. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.

Bon Appétit!

Goodness! It has been a whole year since Dan & I relocated Golden State of Health from Taraval Street to our home at 2164 – 17th AVE. Time sure does fly when you are busy. It was a huge effort retooling the home to have the same feel as the Taraval place but I believe after many months of hard work it was a successful effort. Thank you all for being patient with me through the rough and awkward process.

Overall, I have to say the sweat and hard work has paid off in dividends. I love the paint colors in the rooms. I now have all my things in one place ready for action at a moments notice. My creative spirit has been soaring since the transition and happiness has followed.

Changes and improvements continue to happen… after much thought and consideration the new website has finally come to fruition. Thank you Jason Van Horn for the final push over the edge of completion. This has been an endeavourer of unusual proportions for me. Finding a way to represent the Golden State of Health, that I offer to my clients on the web is easier said then done. However, patience has paid off and my vision of an updateable and informational website has come to be.

Recently, this is one of the interesting things I have read about the new year…

On February 3 we will enjoy the beginning of the Year of the Golden Rabbit. Expect peaceful resolution to situations … people will be more likely to talk things out and discuss issues rather than act out aggressively. Some of us may feel a little tired after the year of the Tiger because of its fast-paced, frenetic energy. If you felt like you battled last year, this year you will catch your breath, calm your nerves, enjoy harmony, peace, and the capacity and time to enjoy your surroundings … enjoy the comfort of home, the beauty of the garden, the night sky. Some say that wishes come true during the year of the Rabbit. Make plans to enjoy the full moons this year; gaze at the moon and refill your Qi.
